This passport holder features the male Hairy Woodpecker (Leuconotopicus villosus). This striking bird has black and white feathers and a red patch on the back of his head. He is often confused with the Downy Woodpecker but he is larger with a much longer beak. Here he is on a suet feeder against a lovely blue sky.
